The EVPC membership fee should be paid through an international bank transfer. A number of important comments first:
- Please make sure you accept and pay all fees (fee for international transfer).
- Please make sure to add your EVPC membership number first and then your name in the message area of the bank transfer, especially if the payment is performed by an account not in your proper name.
- We do not accept credit card payments.
- Please send a confirmation e-mail to the EVPC treasurer (lcardoso@utad.pt).
- Please make sure to make the payment before May 1st. Failure to comply with the instructions above, will result in an administrative fee of 50.00 EUR.

The different categories of EVPC membership are described below, as well as the associated fees.
EVPC Diplomate (€150 per year if paid before May 1st, €200 after May 1st)
- Certified EVPC Diplomate must be licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the countries of the European Union, unless relieved of this obligation by the Board. The Diplomate must have passed the certifying examination procedure of the European Veterinary Parasitology College, must have been accepted as a de facto Diplomate by the Board, or must be one of the founding members of the college. The Diplomate must at least 60% of their time in Veterinary Parasitology.
- Non-certified Diplomates are diplomates whose registration ceases by default when the speciality is practised at a level of less than 60 per cent (i.e. <24 hours a week), or when the speciality has not been practised for two continuous years or the equivalent of two years during the previous period of five years, or if the re-registration (re-accreditation) criteria are not fulfilled at the end of a 5 year period, or if the diplomate has not attended two Annual General Business Meeting for five years after date of certification as Diplomate or re-accreditation without previous dispensation from the President on the advice of the chairperson of the Credentials Committee. A non-certified diplomate may not describe him/herself as an EVPC Diplomate but may use the designation ‘Non-certified Diplomate’ and the post-nominal title ‘Dip EVPC(non-certified) or Dipl EVPC(non-certified). Non-certified diplomates may neither vote nor act as supervisors for residency programmes. A non-certified diplomate seeking to revert to full diplomate status needs to satisfy and obtain the agreement of the Credentials Committee.
Associate EVPC member (€120 per year if paid before May 1st; €170 after May 1st)
- Associate members form an important component of the College. They must be scientists of international repute with at least 7 years of experience who are not veterinarians but who have contributed significantly to research in Veterinary Parasitology. Their essential role in the development of the discipline of Veterinary Parasitology is acknowledged and their participation in the activities of EVPC is welcome. Nominations are made through the sponsorship of two Diplomates. Election of a non-veterinary associate is accomplished by a majority secret ballot of the Board and a majority secret ballot of diplomates at the annual General Business Meeting. Associate Members have all the privileges of membership except the right to vote at General Business Meetings. They are not allowed to hold office within the College but can be co-opted to committees. Associate Members are encouraged to participate in scientific meetings and workshops organised by the College. They may participate in EVPC training programmes together with EVPC Diplomates, but under EBVS regulations are not entitled to act as supervisors without a Diplomate being responsible for the training programme.
Honorary and retired members (no fee to be paid)
- The Honorary Member status is conferred to a person (being a Veterinarian or not) who has contributed in an extraordinary manner to the advancement of Veterinary Parasitology. Nomination shall be made through the sponsorship of two Diplomates. The sponsors shall furnish the Executive Secretary with such information concerning the nominee, as is required by the Board, including a Curriculum vitae. A Retired Diplomate is a former diplomate who is permanently and irrevocably of non-practicing status. A retired diplomate may not describe him/herself as an EVPC Diplomate but may use the post-nominal title ‘Dip EVPC(retired) or Dipl EVPC (retired).
